Each tool your agent calls through an MCP server uses credits, on top of the message that triggered it. Here is how the cost adds up and where to see it.
What each call costs
An MCP tool call costs the same as one AI message on your agent's model, added on top of the customer message that triggered it. A reply that makes one tool call costs the message plus one call. A reply that makes two calls costs the message plus two calls. See What counts as a message credit in Mando for how a message credit is counted.
The per-conversation limit
Your agent can make up to five MCP tool calls in a single conversation. The sixth call is stopped and the agent replies with what it already has, so a runaway loop cannot keep spending. Calls stopped by this limit are not billed.

Lower the cost
- Uncheck tools the agent does not need, so it has fewer to call.
- Keep your instructions clear so the agent calls a tool once instead of repeatedly.
