Connect flow nodes with edges

Wire nodes together on the Guided Flow canvas by dragging between handles. Learn about outputs like Next, fallback, and Success, and the wire-to-go-live rule.

Draw a connection

On the canvas, drag from a node's output dot on its bottom edge to another node's input dot on its top edge. That connection, called an edge, tells the flow which step runs next.

Outputs depend on the node

Most nodes have one output labeled Next. An Options node has one output per button plus a fallback; a Branch has one per condition plus no match; a Call API node has Success and Failure. End, Let AI Answer, and Human Handover are endpoints and have no output.

Rewire or delete

Drag an edge's endpoint to a different handle to rewire it. To remove an edge, select it and press Delete or Backspace. Deleting a node also removes the edges attached to it.

Wire every handle to go live

Each required output must be connected before the flow can publish. Until then the toggle reads "Wire N handle(s) to go live", and the status pill shows how many outputs are still unconnected. Hover it to see exactly which node and handle to wire.
