Add nodes to the flow canvas

Use the Canvas view palette to add nodes to a Guided Flow. Learn the three node groups, how to drag a node in, and why the Trigger node is always required.

The node palette

Open the Canvas view to see the Add nodes palette on the left. Its tiles are grouped into Functional (Send Message, Options, Collect Input, AI Collect), Flow Control (Trigger, Branch, End), and Integration (Let AI Answer, Human Handover, Send to Webhook, Call API).

Add a node

Drag a tile from the palette onto the canvas, or right-click an empty spot and choose Add node. Each node arrives pre-filled with sensible defaults and is selected automatically, so its settings open in the panel on the right.

The Trigger is always there

Every flow needs exactly one Trigger, the required start node. It cannot be deleted or duplicated. New flows already include it, so you rarely need to add one.

After you add a node

Adding a node only places it; it is not connected yet. A node with unconnected outputs counts as "unconnected" and blocks the flow from going live until you wire it. Your changes stay a draft in your browser until you save or publish.
