How steps work
In the Steps view a flow is a top-to-bottom list. Steps run in order, and each step can use values saved by the steps above it. The available kinds are Collect, AI collect, Call API, Message, Branch, Handoff, and End.
Add a step
Select the dashed Add step pill, then choose a step kind from the picker. A smaller Add step pill appears between existing steps so you can insert one in the middle. Each new step arrives with sensible defaults so your work always saves.
Reorder or delete
Each step card has small up and down arrows to move it one place, and a trash icon to delete it. There is no drag and drop: reordering is done with the arrows. The up arrow is hidden on the first step and the down arrow on the last.
Steps that must come last
Branch, Handoff, and End are ending steps: nothing can run after them. The editor keeps the list valid, so a move or insert that would place one of these in the middle is quietly ignored, and Branch is only offered at the very end of the list. If a field is incomplete you will see "Fix the highlighted fields to save" and the last valid version stays saved.
