In Mando, the Who answers your calls card on the Voice page decides who your callers hear: the agent's name, language and accent, greeting, gender, personality, energy and voice. This card replaced the Operator table, so there are no voice operators to choose any more. Each AI agent has one setup, and it applies to every call that agent answers.
Before you start
Voice calls are included from the Business plan and on every free trial.
You need admin rights to save changes.
Steps
Open your AI agent and select Voice in the sidebar.
Under Who answers your calls, type a name in Her name or His name. Leave it empty to use the default: Sophia or Adam in English, صوفيا or آدم in Arabic.
Open She speaks or He speaks and choose a language and accent, such as Arabic, Egyptian accent.
Type your Business name. The agent says it in the greeting.
Under Greeting, write your own words after the fixed start, up to 15 words.
Choose Woman or Man.
Choose a Personality: Professional, Warm, Casual, Formal, Witty, Dry, Sarcastic or Dark.
Move the Energy slider between Calm and Upbeat.
Under Pick the voice, press Listen on each voice, then select the one you like.
Press Save on the bar at the bottom of the page.
The labels follow the gender you choose, for example Her name becomes His name.
What you should see
After you save, the bar disappears and a message confirms "Voice settings saved." The next call uses the new setup. To try it now, press the microphone under Test the voice at the top of the page.
Frequently asked questions
What happened to voice operators?
The Operator table, where each operator came with a fixed voice, language and accent, no longer exists. Those choices are now separate fields in the Who answers your calls card. An agent set up with an operator keeps the same voice, language and accent until you change them.
Can each phone number have its own setup?
The setup belongs to the AI agent, so every number and the web call button on that agent use the same one. For a different setup on another number, connect that number to another AI agent.
Does changing the personality change the voice?
It can. Each mix of gender and personality suggests three voices. Changing the gender moves the agent to the first suggested voice, and changing the personality does the same when your current voice is not among the new suggestions. Pick the voice last.
