In Mando, the greeting is the first thing your voice agent says when a call connects. It has two parts: a fixed start built from the agent's name and your business name, and your own line of up to 15 words. You set both in the Who answers your calls card on the Voice page.
Steps
Open your AI agent and select Voice in the sidebar.
In Who answers your calls, fill in Her name or His name, and Business name. The fixed start updates as you type.
Under Greeting, write your own words below the fixed start. A counter shows how many of the 15 words you used.
Under Pick the voice, press Listen to hear the whole greeting.
Press Save on the bar at the bottom of the page.
What do callers hear?
With a business name: "Hi, I'm Sophia from Al Saada Restaurant. How can I help you today?"
Without a business name: "Hi, I'm Sophia. How can I help you today?"
With no line of your own, the agent ends with the default line, "How can I help you today?"
The fixed start follows the language in the She speaks or He speaks field. Write your own line in that language too, because the agent says it exactly as written.
Should the greeting say the agent is an AI?
The fixed start gives a name and does not say the caller is talking to an AI. To tell callers up front, say it in your own line, for example: "I'm an AI assistant. How can I help you today?"
What happens to a greeting written earlier?
A greeting written before this card stays exactly as it was, and the card shows it with the note "Callers hear the greeting you wrote before". Write a line to switch to the new greeting. Clear the line before you save to bring the old one back.
An agent whose card was never saved says a default line instead: "Hi, I'm AI assistant. How can I help you?" Save the card to give it a real name.
Good to know
The greeting belongs to the AI agent. Every number and the web call button on that agent use the same greeting.
It takes no variables. Merge tags like a customer name are not filled in.
A change made during a live call applies to the next call, not the one in progress.
Frequently asked questions
How long can the greeting be?
Your own line can be up to 15 words. If you paste something longer, the card keeps the first 15 words.
Can I remove the fixed start?
No. The fixed start is always there, built from the name and business name. If you leave the business name empty, it gives only the name.
