Voice is billed in the same message credits as chat. There is no separate voice bucket, no add-on, and no per-minute money price. One voice minute uses 5 credits, drawn from your plan's monthly credits. Voice is included on the Business and Scale plans; in the free trial it draws from the trial's 1,000 credits. How the minutes count
Minutes are whole and round up. A call is billed the moment it connects, so a call under a minute costs 1 minute, and a call of 61 seconds costs 2.
The first minute, 5 credits, is used the instant the caller connects, before anyone speaks.
Phone calls and web calls bill exactly the same way.
A call nobody answers costs nothing. Billing starts at connect, not at dial.
When credits run low
If your balance is low, a call is shortened to the minutes you can afford, quietly. This is one reason a call can end before your set maximum. See Why your calls end before your maximum length.
If you have fewer than 5 credits, a new call will not start. The caller is asked to try again, and no alert appears in your dashboard, so watch your usage.
Where you see it
Open Usage in the workspace menu. It charts voice minutes per app per day and offers a CSV export.
Your billed voice credits are blended into the Messages and Credits total on the same page, not shown as a separate voice figure. See Check your usage.
The dashboard does not show individual call durations or a call count. Figures reset with each billing period.
