Your Newsroom has two ways to organize articles, and they do different jobs. Use them together: collections for structure, tags for topics.
Collections are sections
A collection is a folder that groups related articles into a browsable section of your site.
An article lives in one collection, which you set with Move To in the editor.
Collections form the way readers navigate your Newsroom.
Tags are labels
A tag is a flat label. An article can carry many tags, and a tag can span many collections.
Tags group related posts across sections, so readers can follow a topic.
Tags are a Newsroom feature; a help center does not use them.
What readers see
A tag's Title is shown to readers; its Description is internal, just for you. A collection's description is not shown on the newsroom either. So keep tag titles reader-friendly, and use descriptions as private notes. To create and manage tags, see the next article.
