Create a Newsroom article

Write a new Newsroom post in the editor. Learn what each field is for, why the language is fixed, and why a new article is not public until you publish it.

You write Newsroom posts in a full-page editor. There are two ways to start one, and both open the same editor with a new draft.

Start an article

  • On the Newsroom Overview, click New Content.
  • Or in Content, click New Article.

You do not pick a content type; a Newsroom article is created for you. You need content-editing access; see Understand Super Admin and Member roles.

Fill in the editor

  • Title at the top.
  • Description, a short summary for search and AI. This is not your intro paragraph; write the post in the body below it.
  • The body, where you write and format the post.
  • In the sidebar: Move To a collection, a Featured Image, Tags, and Status.

The language is fixed

An article's Language is set from your Newsroom's language and is shown read-only. This is the common confusion: it is not a permissions problem, it simply cannot be changed per article, and it is not detected from your text. To publish in another language, create a separate Newsroom in that language.

A new article is a Draft and is not on your public site until you publish it. The editor needs a desktop-sized screen.
