Connect a Twilio number to your AI agent

Once your Twilio account is connected, pick one of your voice-capable numbers and Mando wires it to your AI agent so inbound calls are answered automatically.

After you connect your Twilio account, the last step is to pick a specific number and wire it to your AI agent. Mando configures the number's routing so inbound calls reach your agent.

Pick a number

  1. On the Voice settings tab, open the Phone Numbers card and click Add a phone number.

  2. In Pick a number to wire to your AI agent, choose one of your voice-capable Twilio numbers.

  3. Click Use this number.

Mando configures the number and shows Phone number connected. Call it now to test.

Test and manage

Call the number to hear your agent answer. Each app in your organization picks its own number from the shared Twilio account, so a number connected to one app is not offered to another.

To stop a number, use its Disconnect button. Inbound calls stop reaching your agent, and the number itself stays in your Twilio account.

Frequently asked questions

My number is not in the list.

Only voice-capable numbers appear. If the list is empty, all your voice numbers are already connected; buy another on Twilio first.

Do I have to configure anything on Twilio?

No. Mando sets the number's routing for you when you pick it.

Nothing happens when I call.

Check that Enable Voice is on and the number shows as connected.
