When events do not appear in your Slack channel, work through the checks below. Each Slack destination shows a Last delivery column with the latest error, which is the fastest clue.
The bot is not in the channel
The Mando bot must be a member of a channel to post there. If Last delivery shows a not-in-channel error, open that channel in Slack and run /invite @Mando. This is the most common cause.
Other common causes
- The destination is Paused. Resume it.
- The channel was archived or deleted. Add another channel.
- Slack was disconnected. Reconnect and add the channels again.
- The channel is subscribed only to events that rarely or never fire. Ticket events in particular may not deliver yet, so subscribe to Chat escalated to human and New chat message, which deliver reliably.
Frequently asked questions
The Test worked but events do not arrive.
A test only checks the channel and the bot. It does not prove your chosen events are firing or that the destination is active.
Last delivery says Never.
No matching event has fired yet. Subscribe to escalations or messages, and make sure the destination is not paused.
It stopped after I disconnected Slack.
Disconnecting removes every channel. Reconnect and add them again.
