Once Slack is connected, you send events to a channel by adding a Slack destination: a channel plus the list of events it should receive.
Add a channel
- On the connected Slack card, click Add Slack channel.
- In Send events to a Slack channel, pick a channel.
- Tick the events to send, then click Save destination.
Invite the bot to the channel
The Mando bot has to be in a channel to post there. If you pick a channel it has not joined, the dialog shows a bot needs invite hint. Open that channel in Slack and run /invite @Mando, then test it.
Manage a destination
Each channel appears in a list with its events, status, and last delivery. Use the row buttons to Test it, Pause or Resume it, or Remove it. A test posts a short confirmation message to the channel.
Frequently asked questions
The test worked but events do not arrive.
A test only checks the channel. Make sure the destination is not paused and is subscribed to events that actually fire, like escalations and new messages.
Can two channels get the same events?
Yes, add each channel as its own destination. You cannot add the same channel twice.
Do I have to invite the bot?
Yes, for any channel it is not already in.
