Only admins can manage Slack notifications

Connecting Slack and adding, pausing or removing channels are admin-only. Members can view the setup, but management actions return an admin-required error.

Managing Slack notifications is limited to organization admins. This covers connecting Slack, adding and removing channels, pausing them, and sending tests.

What members can and cannot do

A member who can open the Integrations settings can see the Slack connection status, the channel list, and each destination. But every management action, such as Connect, Add, Test, Pause or Remove, returns Admin or Super Admin access required.

Reaching the page at all

The Slack card lives in Customer Service settings, so a member also needs access to the settings area to view it. Without it, they are redirected away before the page loads. Ask an admin to make the changes, or to grant you admin access.

Frequently asked questions

Who counts as an admin?

A Super Admin, and an Admin where that role exists in your organization.

How do I get access?

Ask a Super Admin to make you an admin, or to make the change for you.
