In Mando, your AI agent is a Customer Service app. Creating one takes about a minute: you name it, choose the language it answers in, and Mando opens the Playground where you can train and test it. You need at least one agent before you can connect a channel or add a chat widget to your site.
Before you start
Sign in to the organization where you want the agent to live.
Every plan includes at least one AI agent. If you have already used every agent your plan allows, the create option is greyed out and you will need to upgrade.
Steps
Open your organization home page in Mando.
Find the AI Agents section and select Create your first AI Agent. If you already have one, the same card reads Add another AI Agent.
In the Create new application dialog, check that Type is set to Customer Service. Starting from the AI Agents section selects it for you.
In Title, enter a name of at least 3 characters. This is how the agent appears in your app list, so use something you will recognize, such as your brand name.
In Language, choose the language the agent should use by default. This sets the app's locale and layout, including right to left layouts for languages that need them.
Optionally fill in Description. The agent reads this to understand the role it is playing, so a specific description produces better answers.
Select Create App.
What you should see
Mando confirms that the app was created and takes you straight to your new agent's Playground. From there you can train the agent on your content, change how it behaves, and test it before anyone else sees it. The agent also appears in the AI Agents section of your organization home and in the app switcher in the top bar.
Troubleshooting
App name must be at least 3 characters
The Title field rejects names shorter than 3 characters. Enter a longer name and select Create App again.
You have reached your app limit
Your plan sets how many AI agents you can create. Once you are at that number the dialog shows an upgrade notice, the create card on your organization home is greyed out, and creating fails with a message showing how many you have used. Upgrade your plan, or delete an agent you no longer need, then try again.
Another app type shows "Upgrade required"
Help Center, Newsroom and AI Page are available from the Light plan and up, and each has its own limit. Customer Service is not restricted this way, so if you only want an AI agent you can continue on your current plan.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the app type say Customer Service when the button says AI Agent?
They are the same thing. Mando calls the app type Customer Service in the create dialog, and the agent it produces is what the rest of the dashboard calls an AI agent. Select Customer Service and you will get the agent you expect.
Can I change the language after I create the agent?
Yes. Open the agent, go to Settings, and change the language there. It is a default rather than a restriction, so your agent can still reply to customers in other languages.
Do I have to write a description?
No, it is optional and you can add it later. It is worth filling in, because the agent uses it to understand its role, which makes its answers more relevant.
How many AI agents can I create?
That depends on your plan, and every plan includes at least one. Your organization home shows how many you have, and the create card tells you when you have reached the limit.
Where do I create an agent if I am not on the home page?
Open the app switcher in the top bar and select Add New App. The same dialog opens, but nothing is preselected, so choose Customer Service yourself under Type.
