In Mando AI, signing up is the setup: right after you create your account, one guided page sets up your AI agent with you, step by step. There is nothing else to register. Your answers are saved as you go, and you can change them later from the dashboard.
Before you start
- Have your website address ready, if you have one. No website is fine: you can upload files, like a menu or a price list, or add YouTube videos instead.
- If your store runs on Salla, sign up with the same email address as your Salla account. Mando AI sends the activation email to that address, and it works only for that address. See Connect your Salla store to Mando.
- To connect WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger, have your Facebook login ready. For WhatsApp, also keep your phone with the WhatsApp Business app nearby, or have a number for a new line.
Steps
- Your website. Type your website address in the Your website box, and Mando AI reads your site. If your site is a Salla, Zid, Shopify or WooCommerce store, your products come in when you connect the store in the Your store step instead. No website? Select Continue without a website. The next screen, Your files, offers Upload files (PDF, .docx, .pptx, .xlsx or text files, up to 5 at a time and 100 MB each) and YouTube video. Add what you have and select Continue, or select Continue without files.
- Your business. Check your business name and what you do. If you added a website, Mando AI fills both in from it. The description needs at least 40 characters, and the name is the name your agent uses in the chat.
- Your goal. Choose what your agent does first: Answer my customers' questions, Help customers buy or Solve technical problems. Or select Describe it in my words.
- Your store. This step appears only when your site runs on Salla, Zid, Shopify, WooCommerce or WordPress. Connect your store so your agent knows your products, and your orders where the store allows it. Select Skip for now to connect it later. On the free plan, Mando AI then reads your website's pages instead. On a WordPress site, this step is called Connect your site and links our plugin, so your agent keeps up with your pages and posts.
- Your channels. Pick where your customers message you: WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok or Email. Mando AI connects them one at a time, and you can select Skip for now on any of them. Email starts with AI replies off: turn on drafts or automatic replies in the Email card.
- Try your agent. Your agent appears live, as your customers will see it. Ask it something a customer would. Above it, you see how many pages your agent has learned so far, with a link to them in Content Library. When you're done, select Looks good, continue.
- Final step: your phone. Enter your phone number so the Mando AI team can help if you get stuck, then select Finish setup. The team may message you on WhatsApp. No verification code is sent.
What you should see
When you select Finish setup, the setup page shows that your agent is ready, with the channels you connected. Below it, five next steps each open in a new tab: Try your agent, Launch your first WhatsApp campaign, Meet your customers, Connect your systems and Adjust your integrations. After setup, find help any time under Get help at the bottom of your menu.
Can I ask questions during setup?
Yes. On any step except Try your agent, type a question in the box, for example "Why do you need my phone number?". The setup assistant answers on the page and brings you back to the step. After three questions on one step, the setup assistant offers a free setup call with the Mando AI team.
What you can skip, and what you can change later
- No website is fine, and you can skip your store and each channel. Your business, your goal and your phone number are needed.
- To change an earlier answer, select Change next to that step. A connected store stays as it is.
- On the Your goal, Your store, Your channels and Try your agent steps, select I just want to explore for now at the top of the page to go straight to your agent. On a smaller screen it shows as an arrow only. You enter your phone number first, and this ends the setup.
- Everything you set during setup can be changed later in the dashboard.
How many pages does the free plan learn?
On the free plan, your agent learns up to 50 pages in all: website pages, products and files together. Upgrading raises the limit. See What counts toward your page limit and Free plan allows one website or one store.
Troubleshooting
"That doesn't look like a website address"
Type the address as it appears in your browser, for example nakhla.com.
"Your plan reads one website"
The free plan reads one website or one store at a time, and one is already in your agent's knowledge. Swap it in Content Library, or upgrade your plan.
"This step changed in another tab"
The setup is open in another tab or window. The page refreshes by itself, so carry on from the step it shows.
The activation email does not connect my Salla store
Open the email in the same browser, signed in to Mando AI with the email address your Salla account uses. See Fix Salla activation and claim errors.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a credit card to sign up for Mando AI?
No. The setup has no payment step, and a new workspace starts on the free plan. You can upgrade later from Billing.
What if I close the page before I finish?
Your answers are saved as you go. Open your workspace again and Mando AI brings you back to the setup, on the step where you left off.
Which language does my agent reply in?
Your agent's main language is the one you set up in, English or Arabic. To answer in more languages, see Add a language to your AI agent.
What is my workspace called?
Mando AI makes your workspace when you sign up, and names it after your business once you confirm it on the Your business step.
