An organization is a self contained workspace in Mando. It has its own apps, its own team, its own content and its own subscription, and nothing is shared with your other organizations. Create one when you are setting up a genuinely separate business, brand or client, not when you simply want another agent.
Before you start
- Each organization carries its own plan and billing, so a new one starts fresh rather than inheriting the plan you already pay for.
- If you only need another AI agent, another help center or another newsroom, add it inside your existing organization instead. See How many apps each Mando AI plan includes.
Steps
- Select the organization switcher in the top bar. It shows the name of the organization you are currently in.
- Choose the option to create an organization.
- Enter a name. This is what your team sees in the switcher, so use the business or brand name.
- Confirm. Mando creates the workspace and takes you into it.
What you should see
You land in the new organization, and because it has no history yet the welcome setup wizard runs so you can create your first agent. Walk through it as described in Complete the welcome setup wizard. You are the Super Admin of any organization you create, so you have full access from the start.
Mando does not ask you to invite people while you are creating the organization. You add teammates afterwards, from the Team page.
Working across organizations
The switcher in the top bar moves you between organizations at any time. Everything in the dashboard, the sidebar, your apps, your inbox and your billing, always belongs to the organization you currently have open, so check the switcher before you wonder where something went.
Troubleshooting
The welcome wizard did not appear
The wizard only runs for Super Admins, and only while the organization has not completed setup. If you joined an existing organization by invitation, you go straight to its home page instead, which is expected.
I cannot find an app I created
You are almost certainly in the wrong organization. Apps never move between organizations. Open the switcher and change to the one where you created the app.
Frequently asked questions
Do my plan and subscription carry over to a new organization?
No. Billing is per organization, so the new one has its own plan and its own limits. Paying for one organization does not upgrade another.
Can I move an agent or a help center between organizations?
No. Apps belong to the organization that created them. If you need the same setup elsewhere, build it again in the other organization.
Do my teammates get added automatically?
No. A new organization starts with just you. Invite people from the Team page once the workspace exists.
Should I create an organization for each client?
If each client needs their own team, billing and separate content, then yes. If they only need their own agent or help center, add those inside one organization instead, which keeps billing and your team in a single place.
