The welcome wizard runs once, right after you create a workspace. It sets up your first AI agent: the language it works in, the role it plays, its name, and what your business does. It takes a few minutes, and everything it sets can be changed later from the dashboard.
Before you start
- Have your website address ready if you want the agent trained on it during setup. You can also skip this and add content later.
- If you arrived from Salla, Shopify or Zid, your store is already connected and you will see a shorter wizard.
Step 1: Choose your language
Pick English or العربية. This one choice sets two things at once: the language of your dashboard, and the default language your AI agent replies in. If you pick a different language from the one you are currently viewing, the page reloads and the wizard carries on where you left off.
Step 2: Let's set up your agent
Choose what you want to build from the role options: Customer Support, Sales, Technical Support, Assistant or Custom. Picking Custom adds a field where you describe the job yourself.
Enter an Agent name. Your customers see this name, and it is prefilled with your organization name. Then fill in About your business. This field needs at least 50 characters and shows a live counter, so Continue stays unavailable until you reach it. The detail is worth it: this description shapes how the agent talks to your customers.
Step 3: Train your agent on your website
Enter your website address and Mando reads through your pages so the agent can answer from your real content. The address must start with http:// or https://.
You can also select Skip. Nothing is lost: you can add your website, files and other sources from the Content Library whenever you like.
Step 4: Where will your agent live?
Pick the knowledge sources your agent should learn from and the channels where you plan to deploy it. Worth knowing: these choices tell Mando what you are planning, they do not connect anything. As the step itself says, you connect each source and channel in the dashboard after setup.
Step 5: Getting ready
Mando saves your answers and finishes provisioning. This takes about 30 seconds and you cannot go back from here. When it is done you land on the page that shows how to install your chat widget, so you can put the agent live. If you came from Shopify, you land on the billing page instead.
What you can skip, and what you can change later
- Skip during setup: the website step, and the sources and channels step.
- Required: an agent name, and a business description of at least 50 characters.
- Change later: everything. The language, name, description and role all live in your agent's settings, and the dashboard language sits in the top bar.
Troubleshooting
Continue is greyed out on the agent basics step
Your business description is under 50 characters, or the agent name is empty. The counter under the description box shows how many characters you have. Add more detail and Continue becomes available.
Please enter a valid URL starting with http:// or https://
The website step only accepts a full address. Enter it with the protocol included, for example https://your-website.com, or select Skip and add the site later.
Could not start the crawl
Mando could not begin reading your website. Select Continue to try again, or Skip and connect the website from the Content Library once you are in the dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
Does picking WhatsApp or Instagram in the wizard connect them?
No. That step records what you are planning so Mando can point you in the right direction. Each channel is connected properly from the dashboard afterwards.
Can I go back a step?
Yes. A Back button is available on every step except the first one and the final Getting ready step.
Why does my wizard have fewer steps?
Because your store is already connected. Salla, Shopify and Zid merchants skip the website step, since the store is the source of product knowledge, and see a confirmation instead of the sources and channels picker.
I picked the wrong language. What now?
Change the dashboard language from the translate icon in the top bar, and the agent's language in the agent's own settings. They are separate settings, so change whichever one is wrong.
What if I close the wizard partway through?
Your agent is created regardless, so nothing is lost. Anything the wizard did not capture can be set from the dashboard.
