Your plan includes a number of pages. A page is any single item in your content library, and the count is simpler and broader than most people expect.
Everything in your library counts
Each of these is one page:
- A help center or newsroom article
- An internal article or a snippet
- A page crawled from your website
- An uploaded file
- A product synced from your store
- A video you added
- A collection, meaning the folders themselves
Two things people get wrong
Drafts count. An article you have not published still occupies a page. So do archived items and anything in review. The count is about what exists in your library, not what is visible to customers.
Collections count. Folders are items too. This rarely matters on a large plan, but on the free plan with 50 pages, the collection created automatically when you connect a store or crawl a website is a real part of your allowance.
Pages by plan
| Plan | Pages included |
|---|---|
| Free | 50 |
| Light | 1,000 |
| Growth | 5,000 |
| Business | 10,000 |
| Enterprise | 100,000 |
An add-on is available on the Light, Growth and Business plans if you need more pages than your plan includes.
It is a total, not a monthly allowance
Your page count does not reset each month. It reflects how much content exists in your library right now.
That has a useful consequence: deleting content frees the space immediately. If you are near your limit, clearing out content you no longer need works just as well as upgrading.
Frequently asked questions
Do unpublished drafts really count?
Yes. If it is in your library, it counts.
Does deleting content free up space right away?
Yes, immediately.
Does hitting my page limit stop my chat widget?
No. Your agent keeps answering with the content it already has. Only adding new content is blocked.
