Getting Ask AI answers on your live site takes two steps: turning on the toggle, and adding the paid add-on. Doing only one is the most common reason it does not appear.
Turn on the toggle
Open your AI Search app and go to the Configure step.
Turn on Ask AI in the Generated answers section.
Add the add-on
Ask AI on your live widget needs the Ask AI add-on ($25 a month). Until it is on your workspace, the toggle stays on but the live widget shows no answer, and a note in the Configure step tells you to add it. Two things to know
The preview is always on. The dashboard shows Ask AI answers so you can try them, even without the add-on. Seeing an answer in the preview does not mean it works on your live site; only the add-on does that.
Each app has its own toggle. Turning Ask AI on for your search app does not turn it on for your Help Center, but the one add-on covers both.
