What content appears in AI Search results

AI Search shows only content shared with the app, marked customer-facing, and published. Learn which content types are eligible and when new content appears.

AI Search does not search everything in your workspace. A piece of content shows in results only when all of these are true at once.

The three conditions

  • It is shared with this AI Search app (added in Share With).

  • It is customer-facing, not marked internal.

  • It is published.

Miss any one and that content returns no results, even if the other two are fine. See Choose which agents can use a content item.

Which content is eligible

  • Website pages brought in by the crawler.

  • Products from a connected store: Shopify, WooCommerce, and Salla.

Documents, files, snippets, and videos do not appear in AI Search. They power your support agent instead, so do not upload a PDF expecting it to show in search.

When new content appears

New or synced content is customer-facing by default, but it starts shared with no app, so it will not appear in AI Search until you add your search app to its Share With. After you share it, it becomes searchable once it finishes preparing, which takes a few moments.
