Fix WhatsApp: no Business Account was shared

Why WhatsApp signup can finish without sharing a business account with Mando, and how to reconnect step by step so that the channel completes properly.

Written by: Malaz Madani49 minutes ago2 min read

You went through WhatsApp signup, but Mando reported that no business account was shared. The channel is not connected.

Mando deliberately stops here rather than saving a half finished connection. A channel that looks connected but cannot receive messages is worse than one that plainly failed, because you would not find out until a customer message went missing.

Why it happens

  • The signup window was closed before the last step finished.
  • No WhatsApp Business account or phone number was selected during signup.
  • A permission was unchecked on the permissions screen.

How to fix it

  1. Go back to Settings, then Integrations and Channels.
  2. Select Connect on the WhatsApp Business card again.
  3. Sign in with an account that has full admin control of your business portfolio.
  4. Select or create the business account, then select the phone number. Do not skip this screen.
  5. Leave every permission enabled.
  6. Let the window close on its own rather than closing it yourself.

Then test it

After the card shows as connected, send a WhatsApp message to your number from another phone and confirm it appears in your inbox.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to create a new business account?

No, if you already have one. Select the existing one during signup.

Will retrying create duplicates?

No. Reconnecting replaces the previous attempt.
