Fix Failed to load Facebook SDK error

What the Failed to load Facebook SDK message means when you connect a channel in Mando, and the browser settings that usually cause it and fix it fast.

You selected Connect on WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram and Mando showed Failed to load Facebook SDK. The connection never started, so nothing was changed or half connected.

What it means

These channels are connected through a sign in window that Facebook provides. Your browser has to load that window before you can sign in. This message means your browser blocked it or could not reach it, so the problem is on the browser or network side, not in your Mando account.

How to fix it

  1. Turn off ad blockers, privacy extensions and script blockers for the dashboard, then reload the page. This is by far the most common cause.
  2. Turn off strict tracking protection in your browser settings, or use a browser where it is not enabled.
  3. Leave private or incognito mode, which blocks this kind of window by default in several browsers.
  4. Try a different browser.
  5. If you are on an office or VPN network, try another network. Some corporate networks block these connections.

Once the page loads without the error, continue with the normal connection steps.

Frequently asked questions

Did this break my existing channels?

No. The connection never started, so channels you already connected keep working.

Do I need to contact support?

Try the steps above first. They resolve almost every case, because the block is happening in your browser.
