Connecting Zid syncs your products into Mando so your AI agent can answer customer questions about your catalogue, and look up orders in chat.
Steps
- Install Mando from the Zid App Market.
- You are taken to Mando. If you do not have an account yet you sign up first, and Mando returns you to the install automatically.
- The connection starts on its own with no button to press, and sends you to Zid to approve.
- Approve the permissions on Zid. You confirm which store you are connecting on this screen, not in Mando.
- Zid returns you to Mando, which saves the connection and starts syncing your products immediately.
- You land in the welcome setup, which is shortened for store merchants because Mando already knows your store.
Where to confirm it worked
Open Content Library, then Sources. The Zid tile shows your store name, how many products synced, and when the last sync ran.
Products keep syncing in the background, so a low count right after connecting is normal.
Billing moves to Zid
Connecting through Zid means your Mando subscription is billed through Zid. You manage or change your plan from your Zid dashboard rather than in Mando.
Frequently asked questions
Why was I not asked to pick a store?
You pick it on Zid during approval. Mando does not ask again.
What if my store is already connected?
Mando detects it and sends you straight to your dashboard instead of reconnecting.
Do I need to be an admin?
Yes. Connecting a store requires Admin or Super Admin.
