Beyond showing on your public help center, an article can feed your AI agents so they answer from it. You control this with Share With in the article's sidebar. It is the same sharing model you use across your content library. See What Share With means in Mando.

Two agents, two rules

Your customer-facing agent (website chat, voice, and AI Page) can use an article only when the agent's app is added in Share With and the article stays customer-facing.
Your inbox Co-pilot (the assistant for your team) uses an article whenever Allow Co-pilot is on.

The quiet catches

A brand-new article is shared with no app by default. So even though it is customer-facing, your customer agent cannot use it until you add its app in Share With.
Share with Co-pilot only is worded the opposite way round: turning it on makes the article internal and pulls it out of customer chat, voice, and AI Page (the Co-pilot still uses it).
Publishing adds only your Search app automatically, not your chat agent. To answer in the website chat, add the customer-service app in Share With yourself.
A very long article may not be indexed, and then the agent cannot find it even when it is shared.

Good to know

After you change sharing, it takes a short moment to reach the agent while the article is re-indexed. If the agent seems to have lost an article, check its Share With and that it is still customer-facing.

This trips up almost every new writer: you click Save, the article looks done, but it never appears on your help center. That is because saving and publishing are two different things.

Save keeps the current status

Save stores your changes and keeps the article at whatever status it already has. A new article is a Draft, so saving a draft leaves it a draft. It does not go public, no matter how many times you save.

Publish makes it live

Publish sets the status to Published and puts the article on your help center. Use the green Publish button, or set Status to Published and Save. Both go live.

How to be sure

Save and Publish show the same confirmation, so do not rely on the message. Check the Status badge: it must read Published.

Publishing an article is what takes it from a private draft to a page readers can find. There are two ways to do it, and it does a little more than go live.

Publish it

Click the green Publish button in the editor, or
set Status to Published in the sidebar and Save.

Both do the same thing. The confirmation message is the same as a normal save (\"Content updated successfully\"), so check that the Status shows Published to be sure it is live.

What publishing does

The article goes live on your public help center and is added to your sitemap so search engines can find it.
The AI indexes it so your help center search and, if you have AI Search, your search widget can find it. If you have AI Search, publishing also makes the article customer-facing and adds it to your Search app for you. See What content appears in AI Search results.
After the first publish, the Publish button is gone: editing and saving a published article republishes it live right away. To take it down, set Status to Draft or Archived and Save; there is no separate Unpublish button. See Turn your help center on or off.

Settings that shape every article page

Some of what readers see on an article page is set once for the whole help center, in Settings > Article, not per article. These app-wide toggles are on by default:

Table of Contents, which lists the headings (it appears only when an article has enough headings).
Author and Breadcrumbs.
User Feedback, the reader helpful-or-not control.
Related Articles at the bottom.

You write help center articles in a full-page editor. There are two ways to start one, and both open the same editor with a new draft.

On the help center Overview, click New Content.

A collection is a folder that groups related articles on your help center, so readers can browse by topic. You create them in your content library.

Give it a Collection Name (required), pick an Icon, and add a Description if you want one. The description is used on your help center only.

Everything on your public help center is content you write and manage from the dashboard, under your help center's Content area. It holds two kinds of thing: collections and articles.

Collections and articles

Articles are the pages readers open and search.
Collections group related articles together, like Getting Started or Billing.
You can nest a collection inside another to build a small hierarchy.

Draft and published

Every article has a status: Draft, In Review, Published, or Archived. Only Published articles appear on your public help center; the rest are visible to you in the dashboard but not to readers. A collection has no draft state: it goes live the moment you create it, even while empty.

Where to work

Open your help center and go to Content to see the full library.
Use New Article (or New Content on the Overview) to write a page, and New Collection to group them.

No pointless features. Just what you need to get answers to your users, fast. You can launch a branded, fully functional Help Center in minutes.

1- Create Your Help Center App

Once created, you’ll land on the app dashboard. This is where you’ll build your structure, tweak the design, and keep track of how your content performs.

2- Structure Your Help Center with Collections and Articles

Your content is organised into collections — think of them as sections or categories. Each one holds multiple articles.

You’ll find some default collections already there. Rename or remove them as needed.
To create a new one, just hit Create Collection, give it a name, and save.

Now add your content:

Go into a collection orr Just click on the New Content Button click New Article, and start writing.
Type”/” to open the Slash Menu. Add a title and body — the editor supports both manual writing and AI-assisted drafting.
If it’s a key article, mark it as Featured to display it on your Help Center homepage.
Want the AI chatbot to use it in live conversations? Just link it to your assistant before saving.

Everything’s editable later — so you can keep things fresh as your support content grows.

3- Style and Branding

Head over to the Style tab to bring the Help Center in line with your brand. Here you’ll set:

Action colour (for links, buttons, etc.)
Background colour
Font family (choose what fits your tone)

For the header, you can pick a solid or gradient background and adjust text colour for readability. There’s also an option to apply a soft fade for a cleaner visual break. The footer settings give you similar flexibility.

It’s quick to tweak — and changes are visible in the preview almost instantly.

4- Add Navigation, Footer & Support Info

Header

In the Header tab, you can customise the page title and tagline. There’s also a toggle for enabling the search bar right in the header — handy for content-heavy Help Centers.

You can also add up to three quick links to external pages, such as your homepage, blog, or signup link.

Footer

In the Footer, drop in any legal text or copyright info, and build out navigation for things like Terms, Privacy Policy, or Pricing. Socials can be added too — simply paste in the full URLs of your brand’s profiles across platforms.

More Support Section

If you want to show support contact info, activate the More Support section. You’ll be able to add:

WhatsApp contact number or link
Customer service email
Phone number
A custom link to an external support form

5- Configure Article Experience

Jump into the Article tab to control how content is presented to users.

You can:

Display a Table of Contents inside articles for easier navigation
Show or hide the author name
Enable breadcrumbs for better structure
Turn on feedback buttons so users can rate article quality
Add related articles at the bottom of each page
Let visitors share articles via email, social, or a direct link

If you plan to highlight key resources on your homepage, activate Featured Articles and give the section a title.

6- Domain, Analytics & AI Integration

Under General Settings, you can:

Set a custom domain (Add-on) (e.g. help.yoursite.com). Once saved, you’ll get DNS instructions — just update your records accordingly.
Paste your Google Analytics Stream ID to track traffic and engagement.
Link your Customer Service Agent if you had already have one to the Help Center, so your AI can offer real-time help as visitors browse articles.

Once that’s in place, your Help Center becomes fully connected — styled, tracked, and smart.

Preview and Publish

When you’re happy with your setup, hit Preview to check it live. You can also open the app URL directly.

Note: Some changes (especially DNS updates) may take minutes to hours to reflect.
